Just Picked Pty Ltd also offers an on-site consulting service. Hans Hoffmann, owner and operator, is a fully qualified Production Horticulturalist and Trainer with many years of practical teaching experience. (CV available upon request.) He has assisted many novice olive and blueberry growers in establishing their orchards and businesses. Once a month, there is also the opportunity for home gardeners and inexperienced growers to attend Field Days conducted on the property at Yan Yean. The instructional days include useful information for both fruit and vegetable production. An extensive range of topics are covered , including - pruning, fertilizing, spraying, irrigation, pest management, weed control and soil maintenance. Environmentally friendly practises will be an area of emphasis. Other related issues touched upon include- occupational health and safety, equipment maintenance, food processing and retailing.

Apart from receiving information, course participants are given the opportunity to have hands on experiences and become familiar with the workings of a horticultural enterprise. The course is conducted over two days and includes refreshments and lunch. Bookings are welcome and an information and registration form will be issued upon request.
